These terms govern drafting engagements between Millmetric and its clients. Sending us a project or accepting an estimate constitutes agreement to the terms below. Project-specific terms in a signed proposal take precedence where they differ.
Scope and estimates
Every engagement is scoped from the architectural drawings and specifications you provide. We return a fixed scope and price before drafting begins. Work outside the agreed scope — added rooms, redesigns, or change-driven rework — is quoted separately before it is performed.
Deliverables
Unless otherwise stated in your proposal, a standard engagement delivers an AWI-compliant shop-drawing set, native project files (Microvellum or Cabinet Vision), CNC outputs posted for your machine, and supporting production reports — cut lists, nesting, hardware schedules, and material takeoffs.
Revisions and review
Each engagement includes a defined review cycle. You return marked-up feedback; we incorporate redlines and verified-in-field (VIF) changes within the agreed turnaround. Standard revision turnaround is one to two business days. Additional review rounds beyond those defined in the proposal are billed at the agreed rate.
Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate architectural drawings, specifications, field dimensions, and timely answers to RFIs. The quality and timeliness of our deliverables depend on the inputs we receive.
Professional limitations
Millmetric produces shop drawings for fabrication only. Structural integrity, building-code compliance, life-safety, fire-rating verification, and regulatory approvals remain the responsibility of the licensed architect, engineer, general contractor, and manufacturer of record. Our drawings do not constitute engineering, architectural, or code-compliance certification, and should be reviewed and approved by the responsible licensed professionals before fabrication.
Ownership and files
On full payment for an engagement, the deliverables produced for your project are yours to use for fabrication and installation of that project. You retain ownership of the relationships and source materials you provide. We retain the right to our own internal libraries, templates, and methods.
Payment
Invoicing terms are set in your proposal. Native files and CNC outputs are released on completion of the agreed payment terms for the engagement.
Confidentiality
We treat your drawings and business information as confidential, work under an NDA on request, and never reuse or reference your work without permission. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Millmetric's liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for fabrication errors, field conditions, or downstream costs outside our drafting scope.
We're happy to walk through scope, turnaround, and terms before any project starts.
